Alicia Cohen MD, ABIHM
Alicia Cohen MD, ABIHM is an integrative family physician and faculty at the University of Michigan, Department of Family Medicine. After graduating from Williams College, she obtained her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. During her training she spent two years researching disparities in care for women with breast cancer at the Mount Sinai Department of Health Policy, as well as a year working with Palestinian and Israeli survivors of rape and domestic violence through an international social justice fellowship. She then completed residency at the UCSF Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program, and an integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Cohen practices full-spectrum family medicine, with a particular interest in women’s health; food as medicine and integrative nutrition; herbal medicine; and Somatic Experiencing, a body-based therapy for trauma survivors.
